Our Approach

BUSINESS APPROACH TO MANAGEMENT

Our approach to management is to empower our team to make decisions by having an integrated approach to create opportunities when the project may be faced with adversity. We understand that it takes a diverse group of construction professionals along with effective communication to act and implement decisive actions for the overall project success.

PROJECT APPROACH

Our philosophy is based on our years of experience in the industry and the understanding that maintaining the key members throughout the project creates a foundation of trust with the owner and the design team. It also creates efficiency with processes used to coordinate solutions when resolving all project concerns or issues. Having been involved with many projects in the area, we can provide past and present-day experience to value engineering and constructability reviews throughout pre-construction up to construction. Our knowledge and experience will allow us to be an equal integrated partner and help asses risk and cost saving opportunities to the team. We are committed to supporting the design and integrated team delivery goals by constantly re-evaluating and refining our estimates at each phase of the design process. As more details in the design evolve it will allow us more opportunities to collaborate with cost saving goals in mind. A collaborative and integrated approach led by the same team members from start to finish will help to maintain project memory and better discoveries through our inferred project dialogue.

OUR APPROACH TO QUALITY CONTROL

Accountability to quality control during design and construction will be appointed to one person. Our quality control person will have weekly check-in meetings with staff and outside consultants, design team and subcontractors to ensure that the design and specifications are being strictly adhered to.

Accountability to quality control during design and construction will be a team effort. Once selected, we will have weekly check-in meetings with staff and outside consultants, design team and subcontractors that may partner with us early on.

SAFETY

Safety is strongly emphasized by our business. We are a member of the Associated General Contractors Safety Team with a complete accident prevention program. Each subcontractor is required to have and implement an accident prevention program that incorporates all OSHA/WISHA requirements. At a minimum, all personnel on the job site are required to wear hard hats and eye protection; this includes visitors and management personnel. Trenching and fall protection requirements incorporated by WISHA are also strictly adhered to.

We are a drug free work zone. Our employees are required to take a drug test prior to employment and we do monthly random drawings and random DOT drawings every three months.

CARING FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT

Tiger Construction has worked on many WSSP (Washington Sustainable School Protocol) projects, as well as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects. Tiger has gathered and managed the documentation, along with uploading credit information, for project award designation. We helped Skagit College obtain one of the first LEED Platinum accreditations in the State of Washington.
