Our Story
Living out his dream, Ken Isenhart founded Tiger Construction in 1974. He would continue to grow the company and serve the construction needs of Whatcom and Skagit Counties for 41 years, until he transitioned ownership to the next generation. Today, Scott, Derek and Nick Isenhart lead the company with a vision of constructing opportunities for employees, clients and business partners.
Tiger and Pearson Make One Team, One Vision
In June 2020, Bob Griffiths and Larry Pederson reached out to the owners of Tiger Construction to discuss a potential sale of their company, Pearson Construction. Larry and Bob wanted to ensure the tradition of quality that the Pearson employees had built would continue for another generation. Scott, Derek and Nick Isenhart quickly became excited about the opportunity to include the rich history of Pearson Construction into the Tiger Construction family and purchased the company on December 31st, 2020.
Our one team now combines Tiger Construction’s capability of performing large public works contracts with Pearson’s expertise in private commercial and luxury home markets. Together, our owners and employees will continue to focus on serving clients and communities throughout Washington State, specializing in commercial, industrial, public works and custom home building.
Tiger Construction is one of the oldest local companies with customers throughout Whatcom County. Tiger Construction employees are dedicated to providing great customer service by delivering projects on time and on budget. Our experience and our self-performed services make us one of the most qualified local contractors in the area. We have the ability to self-perform civil, concrete, and carpentry which will result in a more comprehensive package to the pre-construction services and shorter construction schedule.
Pearson was established in Bellingham in 1927 and has become one of the most respected General Contractor and Construction Management firms in the Northwest.
